New Website Launch!

We are very excited to be the second DDESS school to be added to the DoDEA Web Content Management System (WCMS)!

Our website continues to be an important communication tool for providing timely and accurate information to parents, students and our community.  We want the school's website to be the first place parents and students go for information about what is happening at school. The WCMS will help us ensure our website contains relevant, accurate and meaningful information.

About the DoDEA Web Content Management System

Over the past 2 years, DoDEA has been building the infrastructure to support the system-wide implementation of a Web Content Management System (WCMS) to organize, manage, distribute and publish web content.  All public facing websites at the Headquarters (HQ), Area, District, and school levels will transition to the WCMS over the next 2 years.  

Benefits of the WCMS:

  • The WCMS will help superintendents and principals keep web pages fresh and current.
  • Principals will remain responsible for their school websites and content and can build any number of pages to support local information that best serves our customers.
  • There are windows on each site that are reserved for content from HQ, area directors and superintendents. Once a school is on the WCMS, with three levels pushing information out, school web pages will change frequently with information of interest to the families we serve.
  • Area director and superintendents will be able to push content out to each school site that highlights area or district priorities, celebrations, and other announcements.
  • Using the WCMS will enhance our ability to communicate and build a strong relationship with students, parents and staff in direct support of the Community Strategic Plan (CSP) and Continuous School Improvement.
