On Monday, sixth, seventh and eighth graders at Mahaffey Middle were taught a new way of learning, VIP style. The traveling Mobile Ed Productions Inc. stopped by to visit the students for a 90-minute assembly.
Mobile Ed is used by schools seeking alternatives for field trips. The goal of the production is to help students overcome certain learning obstacles, by making learning fun.
Students came to the assembly with their pen and notebooks eager to take notes.
"I'm real big on what we can do for the kids at school, so it's nice when we don't have to have that added part of taking the bus and going somewhere and coordinating and worrying about the weather…," Principal Hugh McKinnon said.
Mobile Ed is unlike a normal classroom setting. They help students understand different learning concepts through various entertaining programs.
