Chain of Command
Director, DoDDS-Europe: Dr. Nancy C. Bresell
For 35 years Dr. Bresell has served military-connected children all over the world, first as a teacher and, since 2009, in her current position as the Director, Department of Defense Dependents Schools-Europe (DoDDS-E), where she leads the educational and support operations of four geographically dispersed school districts serving over 32,000 students in 76 schools.
Deputy Director for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment, DoDDS-Europe: Dr. Joan Islas
Dr. Joan Islas has been with DoDEA for 15 years. Her DoDEA career began as a multi-age teacher at C.T. Joy Elementary School in Jinhae, South Korea.
Bavaria: Dr. Elizabeth Dunham
Dr. Liz Dunham was raised in Onawa, Iowa, and she has been involved in education throughout her entire life. She taught junior high school and senior high school for ten years in Iowa and Washington State before joining DoDDS in 1987.
Isles: Mr. Frank Roehl
Mr. Roehl is a "military brat," attending 13 different schools in grades K-12 and experiencing two unaccompanied tours while his father served in Korea and Vietnam.
Kaiserslautern: Dr. Dell W. McMullen
Dr. McMullen comes to the Kaiserslautern district with a solid background centered on excellence in educational opportunities for all children.
Mediterranean: Mr. Kent Worford
Mr. Kent Worford, the new Superintendent for the Mediterranean District, DoDDS-Europe, has served a total of twenty years as an educator and coach with DoDEA.
