To register your child(ren) for school please bring the required forms listed below to the school registrar located at the front office of the school your child(ren) will be attending. Please note that your child's school zone and subsequently the school he or she can enroll is determined based on your housing assignment provided to you when you arrive on Guam.


Parents with students ALREADY registered for the current school year will need to re-register their child(ren) for each new school year.

Registration vs. Pre-Registration

DoDEA offers online pre-registration in order to reduce the waiting time for registration on site, however pre-registration does NOT complete the registration process nor can it be used to re-register a student.

School Zones

Guam HS:

Eligible students who reside on Guam.

Andersen ES and Andersen MS:

Eligible students residing within:

  1. Military Installation/Housing: Andersen AFB, South Finegayan and NCTS

  2. Villages: Barrigada, Dededo, Mangilao, Mongmong - Toto-Maite, Tamuning, Tiyan, and Yigo
McCool EMS:

Eligible students residing within:

  1. Military Installation/Housing: COMNAVMAR Main Base, Naval Hospital, Nimitz Hill, Apra Palms (New Apra) and Apra View (Old Apra)

  2. Villages: Agana, Agana Heights, Agat, Asan, Ordot-Chalan Pago, Inarajan, Merizo, Piti, Santa Rita, Sinajana, Talofofo, Umatac and Yona.


Temporary Lodging

Students will attend the schools in accordance with the school zone that their Temporary Lodging is located. When you have been assigned permanent housing (on or off base), there is a possibility that your child could be moved to another school, unless you live in the same zoned area.  For more information please contact the School Registrar or Student Transportation Office.

Entrance Age

PreK students must be four years old on/or before 1 September of the current calendar year to be eligible to register for the upcoming year.

Kindergarten students must be five years old on/or before 1 September of the current calendar year to be eligible to register for the upcoming school year.

First Grade students must be six years old on/or before 1 September of the current calendar year to be eligible to register for the upcoming school year.

Required Branch of Service Documentation

Active Duty: PCS Orders and Page 2 for Navy
Army or Air National Guard: Military Orders and if the order read "unless sooner released" the Certification Letter is also required.
DoD Federal Employee

  • CONUS hire: PCS Orders. If the orders expire provide the Renewal Agreement Travel (RAT) orders during re-registration week.

  • Local hire: Certification Letter

  • Passport for student (for age verification)
  • Birth Certificate (PreK-1st)
  • Mailing and Quarters Address
  • Local Emergency Contact
  • Report Cards and other academic records
  • Immunization/Shot Record or Certification of Immunization(DoDEA Form 2942.0-M-F1) (take to Immunization Clinic to be signed by medical authority)
  • Court Document if Sponsor is a Legal Guardian (DSO clearance required)
