Killin Elementary School is dedicated to Dr. Edward C. Killin who was the Director of Department of Defense Dependent Schools, Pacific Region from 1972 to1987. Dr. Killin served in the DoDDS Community for over 35 years as a teacher, school administrator, military education officer, and education and management consultant. He was the Deputy Director, DoDDS in Europe from 1967 to 1972 where he received the Meritorious Civilian Service Medal and the Exceptional Civilian Service Medal. Dr. Killin served as the Executive Secretary for East Asia Regional Council of Overseas Schools from January 1987 until his passing in October 1990. He was also a member of the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. Edward C. Killin Elementary School opened to the Department of Defense Community in August 1991.
