He brings over a decade of experience as both a classroom teacher and instructional leader from pre-kindergarten to high school. A Combat Army veteran, Dr. Barcinas’ journey in education began in Guam, as a middle school science teacher in the Guam Department of Education. He considers himself extremely blessed to have the opportunity to work side by side with his colleagues to serve our military-connected students. Both him and his wife have experience in the Armed Forces and understands the challenges of deployments and relocations. Also, as a dependent of a retired Army Veteran and a former DoDEA student, it has given him much pride and honor to serve in his capacity.Â
Dr. Barcinas earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Missouri Valley College, a Master of Arts in Teaching at the University of Guam, and his Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Change from Walden University.
