This issuance was approved on October 30, 2024 In accordance with DoD Instruction 2000.12 and Volume 1 of DoD Instruction O-2000.16, this Issuance establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for managing and executing the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) force protection program, hereafter referred to as “protection program” in this Issuance. This volume identifies requirements, assigns, and addresses procedures for implementing DoD Antiterrorism (AT) standards. Attention: The policy link is accessible only to those with VISAR credentials due to security measures. Please contact the Security Management Division with any questions.

This Regulation establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and implements procedures to formalize the DoDEA above-school-level organization and authorizes the publication of a DoDEA organization and Functions Manual. Except as established in Section 2 of this Issuance, DoDEA key leadership responsibilities are established in DoD Directive 1342.20.
