Security Management

The Security Management Division (SMD) mission is to maintain force protection, personnel, industrial and insider threat security programs that foster secure learning and work environments for DoDEA students, staff and visitors. SMD actively identifies threats to DoDEA's mission head on, eliminating or mitigating risk through the prudent application of achievable operational procedures, programmatic policies and collaboration with military commands, host installation counterparts, and our stakeholders.

Starting Jan. 8, 2025: U.S. citizens traveling to the United Kingdom for short visits, tourism, or business, including those just passing through UK airports, will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) if they do not have a UK visa or legal residency in the UK or the Republic of Ireland.
