The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Americas is pleased to announce Ken Robinson as the new Career and Technical Education (CTE) Instructional Systems Specialist (ISS).
Jennifer Rauchet Hegseth, spouse of the Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, was joined by Angela Abernathy, spouse of Command Sgt. Maj. Robert Abernathy, U.S. European Command senior enlisted leader, and Amy Fulford, spouse of Lt. Gen. Robert Fulford, deputy commander of U.S. European Command on a tour of three DoDEA schools in Europe: Patch Elementary, Brussels Unit School, and SHAPE Elementary. They were accompanied by DoDEA Director Dr. Beth Schiavino-Narvaez and DoDEA Europe Director for Student Excellence Dr. Michelle Howard-Brahaney.
Dr. Judith Minor, Americas Director for Student Excellence is pleased to announce Kimberly Franklin as the new Mid-Atlantic Special Education ISS Supervisor, effective February 23, 2025.

Mitchell, Alconbury Middle High School’s fine arts teacher and DoDEA Europe West District’s 2022 Teacher of the Year, reflected on the roles she and Ellis have played throughout their lives. “That’s the way it has always been,” Mitchell said, glancing at Ellis seated next to her. “She has always been such an inspiration to the whole family.”
