Dr. Angela Langilotti
Biography
Dr. Langilotti is a seasoned educator and counselor with a rich history of more than 20 years in service to military-connected students within the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) schools. Her professional journey has spanned across continents, providing guidance and knowledge in Korea, Italy, Bahrain, Japan, and the United Kingdom.
Her academic credentials begin with a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Alaska Southeast in 1997. She continued to expand her expertise with a Master of Education in Counseling from St. Johns University in 2000, a Master of Education in International Education from Framingham State College in 2008, and a master’s degree in Human Services with a focus on Social Work from Capella University in 2011. Dr. Langilotti’s pursuit of educational leadership was crowned with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Capella University in 2022.
Dr. Langilotti’s educational philosophy is deeply rooted in the power of relationships. She believes that strong connections with students, families, and fellow educators are essential to fostering a nurturing environment for learning and growth. This belief has been a hallmark of her approach throughout her career.Â
In the school year 22-23, Dr. Langilotti returned to Japan for a second time, embracing the role of assistant principal at The Sullivans School in Yokosuka. She is excited to be an integral part of the Sollars Elementary family, bringing her passion for education and leadership to further support the Sollars community.
Dr. Langilotti, her husband Reinaldo, and her two children, Phoenix and Kaida, look forward to joining the Misawa community and exploring Northern Japan and all its hidden treasures.Â
