Dr. Aristian Torregano

Biography

Dr. Torregano was born, raised, and educated in Jacksonville, Florida, where she promptly entered the United States Army upon graduation. After her service, she attended and graduated from the University of North Florida with a B.S. in Community Health Education and a minor in Health Education in 2006. Her teaching credentials were completed through the State of Florida. She received her Master’s in Education in Administration and Supervision from the University of Guam in 2015. She is completed her doctoral program with Northcentral University with a specialization in Special Education in 2022. She is deeply committed to meeting the individual academic, social, and emotional needs for the range of learners.

Dr. Torregano joined West Point Schools in October 2018 as an Assistant Principal, following several years in educational leadership in Florida, Guam, and Okinawa. Her career began in Florida as a middle school health teacher. Since that time, she has served in a variety of roles to include MS/HS teacher (health, physical education, language arts, gifted studies, science, social studies, math, intensive reading and special education), team lead, department chair, accreditation chair, Special Olympics chair, and mentor teacher. Dr. Torregano displayed exemplary leadership skills during her internship and was detailed as a school administrator while completing her credentials on Guam in 2014. She has since served as an assistant principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. She also led the Child Development Center on Marine Corp Base Okinawa prior to arriving at West Point where she developed practices that standardized care across centers. She served West Point Middle School until 2024. 

Dr. Torregano views a collaborative school environment as the key to creating successful teachers and scholars. She brings a wealth of knowledge on curriculum and instructional practices, as she is also an active member on the Mid-Atlantic District Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Committee. Her leadership and guidance for the Student Support Services Team has provided a structure for teachers to receive guidance while supporting scholars at the onset of academic and/or behavioral challenges. She is deeply committed to creating an environment focused on professional collaboration to enrich scholar academic success while sharing school leadership with exceptional educators and serving military connected families.
