Dr. Jacquelyn Koenig
Biography
Dr. Jacquelyn Koenig is the Assistant Principal at Vilseck High School. With over 20 years of experience in education, she has worked as a Prekindergarten (PK) - 12 innovation specialist and educator. She began her career in a remote Alaskan village, teaching grades 7-12 and adult literacy in one classroom. Dr. Koenig has also taught science, math, Reading Lab, and Health in Texas, Missouri, and Spangdahlem, Germany. She has hosted multiple STEM events, sponsored STEM clubs, robotics teams, and junior leadership seminars, and served on the Advisory Committee for doctoral students at Grand Canyon University.
Dr. Koenig holds a Ph.D. in General Psychology with an emphasis in integrating technology, learning, and psychology from Grand Canyon University, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
Her accolades include the 2018 Volunteer of Excellence in Texas, LaMonte R-IV Teacher of the Year in 2010, Excellence in Science Education Award in 2009, and multiple Teacher of the Year awards. She was also nominated for the 2023 DoDEA Europe West Teacher of the Year and the 2016 Spangdahlem Angel Award.
