Dr. Ramona Williams
Biography
Dr. Williams has served as an educator for more than 20 years, 13 of which have been with DoDEA. She joined the DoDEA Pacific South District as assistant principal at Lester Middle School in 2019 after teaching first grade at Osan Elementary School in South Korea. Dr. Williams was later named the assistant principal of Bob Hope Elementary School, which she assisted in opening in 2021. She has also served as a Math Support Specialist in DoDEA Americas Region at McBride and Dexter elementary schools. As a classroom teacher and Math Support Specialist, Dr. Williams has supported her colleagues and students in school and district leadership roles, including Science Teacher Leader and Manager, Grade Leader, Professional Learning Communities Facilitator, and Continuous School Improvement Leadership Team Chair. Dr. Williams has experience supporting teacher mentoring, advocating for school committee leadership, and encouraging various student support programs.
Dr. Williams has a zeal for teaching and learning that promotes an engaging atmosphere for students and colleagues. She is always eager to collaborate with all stakeholders and build on their leadership capacity.
Dr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Management, with a minor in Human Resources. She has a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education in Adult Education with a dual focus in Technology and Leadership. In 2010, Dr. Williams earned an Education Specialist Degree with a concentration in Elementary Education from Troy University. She earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Trident University in 2022.
Dr. Ramona Williams is married to Kollister Williams. They have five adult children and nine grandchildren. They have resided in Columbus, Georgia, for over twenty years. Two of their five children are educators in the local area.
