Dr. Tammy Shadd

Dr. Tammy Shadd is a dedicated educator with over 26 years of experience. Her strengths include analyzing data and supporting teachers’ understanding and use of data to make decisions. She believes that the school and community must work collaboratively to provide a supportive and academically challenging environment for military-connected students.

Dr. Shadd joined DoDEA with extensive experience in the public school system of South Carolina as an elementary, middle, high school, special education and adult education administrator. She served as an administrative officer and principal in DoDEA before becoming the principal of C.C. Pinckney Elementary School. 

Dr. Shadd earned a bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University, a master’s in teaching from the University of South Carolina and her doctorate from the University of Southern Mississippi. She loves to travel with her husband James and their four daughters.
