Lisa Bell
Biography
I am thrilled to be the Robinson Barracks Elementary School Principal and join the team of exceptional instructors as we continue to pursue excellence for our school and our students every day. I have been in the field of education since 2000, spending the majority of my career in Lawton, Oklahoma serving the military connected students of Fort Sill. I was an elementary teacher in grades 3 through 6. In 2008, I had the opportunity to move to Colorado Springs, CO where I taught grades 3 and 5. I moved back to Lawton, OK in 2010 and after teaching for a year, I took on the role of Instructional Math Coach in 2011, serving the district in that capacity for three years. I began my career in administration in 2014 when I accepted the position as an Elementary School Principal in 2014 and served in this role for four years until I accepted a Middle School Assistant Principal role in Wichita Falls, TX in 2018. My experience as a Middle School Assistant Principal was short lived, as I began my career with DoDEA as a Professional Development Specialist with DoDEA Europe Center for Instructional Leadership in October of 2018.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University, and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership also from Cameron University. I truly believe all students can learn and be successful and deserve the opportunity to thrive and achieve in a student-centered learning environment focused on continuous improvement.
As an instructional leader, I value using summative assessment data, as well as student achievement data to identify students’ academic learning needs as well as their strengths to inform instruction and the professional learning needs of teachers. I understand the importance of ensuring equity and access of standards based instruction for each student, and the integration of researched-based instructional best practices to support learning.
On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading and being outside cycling, hiking and enjoying outdoor adventures.
I am eager to begin my first year at Robinson Barracks and embarking on the partnership of developing a learning environment centered on student learning and continuous improvement. I am excited to become a member of Stuttgart community and developing and fostering relationships with students, faculty, parents, and the community at large as we work together to create a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
