Mr. Bill Morris

Biography

Mr. Bill Morris has served as an educator in Texas and Alaska for more than a decade. He began his teaching career in Texas as a middle and high school social studies teacher, later becoming a school administrator. Prior to joining the Humphreys High School administration team, Mr. Morris was the principal of Ket’acik & Aapalluk Memorial School in Kwethluk, Alaska.

Mr. Morris completed his Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society with a minor in Labor Studies and Employment Relations from the Pennsylvania State University. He became a licensed Texas school administrator after completing his Master of Education degree at Stephen F. Austin State University. Most recently, Mr. Morris completed his Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership with a focus in Curriculum Directorship from Arkansas State University. While at Arkansas State University, he focused his research on the role curriculum development and instruction play in memory creation, retention, and recall in learners.

Mr. Morris strongly believes that every student deserves an education grounded in high academic rigor that authentically prepares students for life after graduation. To achieve this goal, Mr. Morris is committed to crafting stakeholder partnerships that build a safe, positive, and professional school.

Mr. Morris and his wife, Andrea, have been married for 19 years. Their two daughters, Liliana, 17, and Eleanor, 4, are thrilled to join the Blackhawk team and larger Camp Humphreys community. The Morris family is excited beyond words to join HHS!
