Mr. Jason Debus

Jason is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma with over 20 years of experience in education. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Sociology from Oklahoma State University and a doctorate in Social Psychology from Texas Tech University.

He began his career in private sector as a learning consultant teaching people to build and use mathematical models. Since joining DoDEA in 2010, he has worked in the Pacific East and Europe East Districts as the Education Research Analyst supporting teachers and administrators. He has also worked at DoDEA Headquarters where he served as a member of the Research, Assessment, and Evaluation Branch overseeing the research request program across the organization, as well as serving on the Secondary Math Initiative and Professional Learning Continuous Improvement teams.

With his passion for DoDEA’s mission to serve our military connected children and their families, he brings a strong foundation in curriculum, assessment and evaluation, and is a strong proponent of servant leadership and believes building relationships is the key to a strong community
