Mr. Terrance Cobb

Biography

Mr. Cobb started his career in education in 2002 at First Ward Elementary School in the Charlotte Mecklenburg school district in North Carolina as a third-grade teacher. Over the next seven years, he served on one additional CMS campus, teaching fifth grade at Hornet's Nest Elementary School. While with CMS, he served as grade-level chair and new teacher mentor. It was this experience that gave Mr. Cobb the desire to pursue working in administration and teacher development.

Mr. Cobb's international teaching, curriculum development, and administration career began in 2008 when he transferred to Seoul, Korea, working for the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education (SMOE) as the head of the English Department at a local public school. Continuing his career in administration and development for the next 11 years, he worked in the United Arab Emirates as the Head of Faculty responsible for a K-12 school and in Australia as the Literacy Coordinator and Deputy Principal of a K-12 school.

He joined DoDEA in 2022 at Sasebo Elementary School, teaching third and fifth grades. He then transferred to Sollars Elementary in Misawa as the assistant principal, working with a strong team of teachers and administrators. His time at Sollars, working with the students and the community, was an amazing experience, which is why he is elated to remain with the community and work as the new principal at Edgren Middle High School.
