Ms. Allysse Struhs
Biography
Ms. Struhs is excited to become another highly enthusiastic Mustang family member. She has over 20 years of experience and a strong background in curriculum, instruction, leadership, technology, bonding with staff, students, parents, and community, and engaging with students in their learning journey.Â
Her previous positions have included Principal both in the public education setting and DoDEA, Training and Curriculum Specialist, and elementary school teacher. She is coming from Guam, where she spent the last two years as a Pacific West School District principal. She finds it imperative to communicate consistently with all stakeholders so students can have a great learning experience. Ms. Struhs is passionate about the collaborative learning process and is eager to grow with those she serves to help each student and teacher in the school succeed.Â
Ms. Struhs received her associate degree in psychology from Ricks College, a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University-Idaho, and two master's degrees from Grand Canyon University, one in Educational Administration and the other in Curriculum and Instruction. She has also completed her Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Northwest Nazarene University.Â
Ms. Struhs is married to Chad Struhs, an administrator in Pacific West District, and together they have nine children, two of whom will be part of the great Pacific West Schools in Korea. She enjoys activities with her family, participating in community events, and always seeking to learn new things.Â
A strong advocate for putting children first, Ms. Struhs’s passion is for learning and promoting continuous improvement in education, with the flair of having fun while exploring learning to benefit the lives of every student. As an educator and mother, she values the importance of working together, teaching children to be lifelong learners, and inspiring them to actively engage in their educational journey. She is incredibly excited to start her role as Osan Elementary School’s Principal and become part of the amazing Osan community!Â
