Ms. Brandi Peden

Brandi Peden has been selected as the new assistant principal of Kaiserslautern Elementary in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Mrs. Peden is extremely excited for this new opportunity to serve the students, staff, and Kaiserslautern community within the Europe Central District.

Mrs. Peden was born in Midland, Michigan and raised in Washington State. Mrs. Peden’s undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Special Education was obtained from Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, Washington, and her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction was obtained from University of Phoenix. Currently, Mrs. Peden is working on her doctorate in Educational Leadership at Liberty University.

Mrs. Peden’s teaching career began at Mendel Elementary located in Yokota, Japan in 2010 while her husband served the Air Force. In 2013, Mrs. Peden began working at Stearley Heights Elementary school in Okinawa, Japan. In 2018, Mrs. Peden transferred to Daegu, South Korea and taught there until December 2023. In her career, Mrs. Peden has served military-connected children in Special Education, PSCD, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades. Throughout her career, Mrs. Peden has held many leadership positions. For most of her career, she served as the Continuous School Improvement Chair where she participated in the district’s first accreditation. In more recent years, Mrs. Peden has served on district internal review teams. She has also served as a Case Study Committee Chair, Grade Level Chair, and facilitator of the Standards-based Academic Learning Nights such as STEAM and Math Night.

Mrs. Peden believes that all students can be successful in our dynamic, ever-changing, global society. As DoDEA educators, we have the privilege to empower the most unique population of students. Through collaboration, student data, and differentiated instructional strategies, teachers and administrators can provide our military-connected students with the tools that they need to succeed throughout their college, career, and life paths.
