Ms. Kaawa Fulton

Biography

Ms. Kaawa Fulton has over 23 years of experience in education. She started her school leadership career as a North Carolina Principal Fellow in the Onslow County School District. She also served in school leadership positions in DoDEA’s Pacific South and Europe East Districts. Prior to DoDEA, Ms. Fulton taught various grade levels K-12 and post-secondary and served as a school leader at the secondary level. Ms. Fulton’s school leadership preparation includes an Educational Specialist Degree in School Leadership and a Master’s Degree in School Leadership from East Carolina University.

Ms. Fulton believes that school must be a place where students and teachers want to be and parents feel comfortable and included. Teacher leadership must be promoted, and instructional programs must be energetic, inviting, rigorous, and student-centered. Athletics and other extracurricular activities are vital to a well-rounded education and must include a variety of elective options so there is something for everyone. She believes strongly in continuous school improvement and works in collaboration with teachers to adjust practices when data suggests a need to change.

Ms. Fulton has dedicated her career to providing an exemplary education to all students. She helps students believe that they can achieve success. Ms. Fulton is a champion for students and, with the support of Albritton educators, provides a structure to help students instill a sense of pride, responsibility, integrity, determination, and excellence (P.R.I.D.E). The school’s motto supports this belief. “Bulldog P.R.I.D.E starts inside” which has grown to “and it starts with you”!

Ms. Fulton enjoys sports, and cheers loud for her favorite teams. You may see her on the sideline at Albritton games motivating Bulldogs to achieve victory. Students witness this same passion when Mrs. Fulton encourages them to excel in the classroom.
