Ms. Natalie Horne
Biography
Ms. Horne is excited to join the staff of Ramstein Elementary School as Principal for the 2020-21 school year. She had the privilege of serving as an assistant principal for both Ramstein Middle and Elementary Schools over the past 4 years. During her time as an assistant principal Ms. Horne has maintained focus on building strong relationships with students, teachers, families, and her community.
Ms. Horne joined DoDEA in 2012 as a Business Education/Computer Science Teacher at Incirlik Air Base in Adana, Turkey. There, she served in multiple leadership roles and worked with team members to achieve high marks during the school accreditation process. She loved living in Turkey and the many adventures it had to offer. More importantly, she loved the DoDEA community and lifelong relationships formed. Prior to joining DoDEA, Ms. Horne worked as a public school teacher for 7 years in the areas special education, business education, and computer technology. Her experiences have allowed her to teach students of all ages and focus on a variety of professional development opportunities. These include the implementation and progress monitoring of research-based interventions, supporting students with special needs, differentiated instruction, and the Student Support Team process.
Ms. Horne is a University of Georgia alumnus and earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business and Economics. Additionally, she has a Master's Degree in Business Education and a Specialist Degree in Educational Administration and Policy.
Ms. Horne values time spent with family and friends. She stays busy with three children and a husband who is also passionate about working with young people. She is grateful to rejoin Ramstein Elementary School and looks forward to an exciting year!
