Ms. Natasha Anderson

Biography

Mrs. Natasha Anderson began her educational journey in 2009 with Muscogee County School District as a special education teacher. Within a few months of employment, she was appointed as the special education department chair and leadership team co-chair. In 2012, Mrs. Anderson was named Teacher of the Year and began serving as the middle school Title 1 Academic Coach. While serving as the Academic Coach, she focused on supporting teachers and instruction for all core academic areas. In 2014, Mrs. Anderson continued her employment with Muscogee County School District and transitioned into a district position as the Title 1 School Improvement & Accountability Specialist supporting school improvement efforts for state identified priority schools. In 2015, she was promoted to district Program Manager - Curriculum & Instruction for Special Education focused on increasing student achievement, program development, and behavior intervention. During her role, she was presented with the Legacy Recipient Award for community involvement and making significant contributions to students and families. Mrs. Anderson and her family moved to Alaska in 2018 where she began another educational journey as an Advisory Teacher and Assistant Principal for the Yukon Koyukuk School District. She was selected as the Assistant Principal-At-Large for Alaska representing regional assistant principals.

In August 2020, Mrs. Anderson and her family transitioned to Camp Zama, Japan where she continued to serve as the Assistant Principal remotely until June 2021. Mrs. Anderson joined the DoDEA Pacific East Team in August of 2021 as the Special Education Instructional Specialist. In the summer of 2022, Mrs. Anderson was selected as the Zama Middle High School Assistant Principal.

Ms. Anderson graduated from Fayetteville State University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2008. She advanced her educational career by earning a Master of Arts in Special Education and certification in Reading, Language Arts, and History in 2012 from Columbus State University. Additionally, she furthered her education in 2016 by obtaining a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University.

Mrs. Anderson has been married for 21 years and is a proud military wife to U.S. Army Officer Abraham Anderson. They have two beautiful and amazing daughters Madison and Morgan. Mrs. Anderson is excited about her new educational chapter as the Assistant Principal for Zama Middle High School and looks forward to working with teachers, families, and the community.
