Ms. Shenae M. Wiley

Ms. Shenae Wiley is from Alamogordo, New Mexico and brings to Humphreys Central Elementary School over 28 years of experience in teaching, coaching, and leadership. Her teaching experiences range from third grade through eighth grade, and her leadership experience has been with grades kindergarten through twelfth grade. She began her career teaching middle school in Easley, South Carolina. As she grew in the teaching profession, she accepted teaching positions in Atlanta, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida. Ms. Wiley also worked as a reading coach and an Early Intervention Specialist for a Title I school.

Ms. Shenae Wiley began her career with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) in January 2011, with a teaching position at Camp Humphreys American School in South Korea. She accepted her first administrator position in the fall of 2012, in the Azores, Portugal as the assistant principal of Lajes E/H Unit School. She worked with the transition of the school from a K-12 school to a K-8. Ms. Wiley was assigned to Vogelweh Elementary School in Germany as an assistant principal. She worked closely with fellow administrators to build a school-wide collaboration model and began plans for the district-wide accreditation review. She also facilitated professional development opportunities and was very active in the classrooms. In 2014, Ms. Wiley accepted the position as an assistant principal of Bahrain School, where she worked hard building a strong foundation for lifelong learners.

Ms. Wiley received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Anderson College in 1995. She has two Master of Arts degrees. Her first degree is in Curriculum and Instruction (2007), and the other one is in Administration and Supervision (2008). She received both of her master’s degrees from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Wiley is the 2021 United States Forces Korea Principal of the Year and a 2023 Pacific Region Principal of the Year finalist.

As a former student of the DoDEA system, Mrs. Wiley understands the unique lives and opportunities that our students have. She is excited to build a school community where all stakeholders can help educate, engage and empower each student at Humphreys Elementary School.
