Ms. Tabitha Huewitt
Biography
Ms. Tabitha Huewitt began her teaching career in Georgia's public schools where she taught at the elementary and middle school levels. In 2011, Ms. Huewitt joined DoDEA as an 8th grade English teacher. Ms. Huewitt has held numerous leadership roles, including a Georgia Advisory Board and Committee member. Ms. Huewitt has also served as a Continuous Improvement Chairperson, Cheerleading Coach, Department Chair, and in many other extracurricular leadership roles.
As a school leader, Ms. Huewitt has served as an Assistant Principal in Vicenza and Aviano, Italy, and Kaiserslautern, Germany. Ms. Huewitt also had the honor of supporting our military connected families and educators by being the Assistant Principal for DoDEA Virtual School Middle Grades Europe during school year 2020-2021.
Ms. Huewitt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Columbus State University, Georgia. She obtained her teacher certification and completed her Masters in Middle Grades Education from Albany State University, Georgia. Ms. Huewitt has also earned an Educational Specialist Degree from Nova Southeastern University, Florida. Ms. Huewitt is dedicated to technology-integrated instruction and continuing strong partnerships throughout the military community to ensure the best educational experience for all students.
Ms. Huewitt is the proud mother of a 2023 DoDEA graduate who is currently attending the University of Kentucky. Ms. Huewitt is very excited to return home to Vicenza Middle School to lead the learning of the Pumas.
