Biography

Ms. Adams was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, graduating from the University of South Florida’s Honors College with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, and minors in Biomedical Physics and General Public Health. Following undergraduate school, Ms. Adams graduated from Le Cordon Bleu as valedictorian and then earned her Masters of Education, with a concentration in Transformational Leadership, from Aspen University.

Ms. Adams’ teaching career began in Florida where she served as a Culinary Arts chef instructor and IB Biology instructor. While in Florida, she earned multiple awards for innovative and cross-curricular teaching, including multiple First in State (K-12) Governor’s Awards for Excellence in Teaching Economics. Ms. Adams joined the DoDEA family in 2014 in the DoDEA Pacific East district, establishing the Culinary Arts program and serving as a Culinary Arts chef instructor and Biology instructor at Yokota High School in Tokyo, Japan. Throughout her career as an educator, she has always been an enthusiastic supporter of school and team morale and building relationships – serving for multiple years as Student Government advisor, culinary competition team advisor, class sponsor, sunshine committee chair, student and teacher recognition chair, and Instructional Leadership Team Chair for Continuous School Improvement.

Arriving from Brussels, Belgium, Ms. Adams is joined by her husband Joel, a guitarist and composer who has worked in DoDEA since 2015. In their spare time, they enjoy cooking together, traveling, and photography. They are thrilled to join the Kaiserslautern family and be a part of the stellar team of educators and staff who are dedicated to enriching our students’ education and lives at Kaiserslautern High School.
