Focus Daily Living - 1hr
The Focus Daily Living (year-long) course is a continuation of the life skills class which addresses daily living skills or behaviors that contribute to the independence, comfort and opportunity of students in Grades 9-12 with disabilities (LIMS and LISP) who are being taught based on the DoDEA ELA/Mathematics alternate content standards, in everyday life situations. This class enhances the student's communication skills, organizational/study techniques, social intervention skills and allows the student to explore vocations. The students will participate in the development of a transition plan and explore skills needed for employment/post-secondary living as well as for learning self-advocacy. Course Note: This course is for one hour period.
