JAPAN – DoDEA Pacific’s annual Far East Creative Expressions academic event brought students from 11 of the region’s high schools to Temple University in Japan from April 29-May 2.

Students were selected after a rigorous selection process to participate in the event, which focuses on visual arts. During the weeklong event, student artists dedicated their time to developing and refining their skills with the guidance of Temple University Japan instructors and DoDEA educators specializing in painting, drawing, digital art, photography, mixed media, and film.

The artistic process unfolded through stages of Inquiry, Making, Critiquing, and Refining, resulting in a final adjudicated show that showcased the culmination of their efforts.
