Pacific East soccer earns United Soccer Coaches awards
Congratulations to DoDEA Pacific East District’s M.C. Perry High School, Kinnick High School, E.J. King High School and Yokota High School for recently earning awards from United Soccer Coaches, the world’s largest soccer coaches’ organization.
Scholar All American Team
A total of 88 student-athletes including 45 senior girls and 43 senior boys were honored with Scholar All American recognition based on their cumulative achievement in the classroom as well as on the soccer field during their secondary school careers.
The following Pacific East District student-athletes earned this award:
- Thomas Vogeley, Yokota High School
- Zachary Cruz, M.C. Perry High School
- Breeanne Wither, Kinnick High School
All-American Team
A total of 43 girls and 18 boys were selected to the All-American Team, including two from Pacific East:
- Ren Spinosi, M.C. Perry High School
- Breeanne Withers, Kinnick High School
Two additional Pacific East District players, Maliwan Schinker and Damian Perez from E.J. King High School, were recognized as All Region Selections.
Team Academic Award
A total of 291 soccer teams (116 boys, 175 girls) posted a team grade point average of 3.25 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2023-24 academic year.
Two Pacific East Schools were recognized with this prestigious award:
- Nile C. Kinnick Girls’ Soccer – Team GPA of 3.60 (Nico Hindie)
- M.C. Perry Boys’ Soccer – Team GPA 3.37 (Mark Lange)
Team Ethics and Sportsmanship
The girls’ team at Nile C. Kinnick High School was recognized with Gold Award for their representation of team ethics and sportsmanship during the DoDEA Pacific spring season.
