Quantico Middle High School (QMHS) has jumped on the innovative use of QR codes to share unit and lesson plans, really boosting the learning experience for both teachers and students. The staff has fully embraced this tech, seeing its potential to simplify and enhance the educational process.

Ms. Jennifer Stonebarger the ET at QMHS highlights the benefits of this technology, "By incorporating a QR code that links to an online resource (such as a slide presentation, file, or video), we can conveniently provide the background information, standards, and other relevant details that contributed to the physical item.

Students can scan QR codes with their devices to get to multimedia resources like videos, presentations, and interactive activities. This approach not only caters to different learning styles and keeps students engaged and motivated, but it also makes sure all the info is right at everyone’s fingertips, cutting down on the need for printed materials and making updates a breeze. Ms. Briana Rhodes a science teacher who uses QR codes to share her unit plans says that "Using QR codes for my digital lesson plans minimizes interruptions during instruction, as observers can scan the QR code to access plans for any of the three courses I teach. My favorite part of teaching is engaging with the students and QR codes streamline the process, allowing me to focus on my top priority - my students." Using QR codes fits right in with the school’s commitment to using technology to enhance learning outcomes.
