DoDEA Pacific pilots Wi-Fi guest network in school offices

PACIFIC REGION – The Department of Defense Education Activity - Pacific has made Wi-Fi access available to visitors in every school office across the region through a pilot initiative.

The region’s IT division launched a DoDEA guest network, through which visitors may utilize Wi-Fi on their personal devices within the main office. This will allow parents to access and share documents with school staff as needed when documents are stored in a location that requires Internet to retrieve. The guest network will not be accessible beyond the office vicinity. 

To connect to the guest network:

• Open Network Wi-Fi Settings on your device.
• From the list of available networks, select “DoDEA_Guest.”
• When redirected to the Log In screen, enter your valid email address and review and accept the terms and conditions. Then, press “Sign in.” You’ll be automatically redirected to DoDEA’s homepage, or you can select “Done” and open a web browser or any application requiring an internet connection.
