Dr. Darci Humphrey Instructional Systems Specialist for Professional Learning PK-12.

Dr. Jacob Sherwood, Pacific West District Superintendent, is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Darci Humphrey as Instructional Systems Specialist for Professional Learning PK-12.
Dr. Humphrey is a native of Moscow, Iowa with 28 years of teaching experience. She began her career in Missouri teaching K-12 gifted education, but also worked as a grant writer, career practicum coordinator, and district curriculum coordinator. She joined DoDEA in 2010 and has worked in Lajes, Portugal and Naples, Italy. During her time in Naples, she taught AP Literature, ELA 12, and Biotechnology Engineering classes, held CSI leadership positions as well as working as a facilitator and presenter for professional learning teams.
Dr. Humphrey earned her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis in 2011, an Ed. SP. degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis in 2007, and a M. ED. in Curriculum Development for Student Exceptionalities in 1997, all from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Her wonderful husband, Donnie, joins her in South Korea. They have two amazing children who are both products of a DoDEA education. Her daughter, Drew, is a 2nd grade teacher in Big Pine Key, Florida and her son, Drake, is currently starting his freshman year of college in Iowa studying Cyber Security.
Dr. Humphrey is excited to join the Pac-West staff and looks forward to working with teachers and administration to make a positive impact on our military connected students.
