Dr. Jacqueline Ferguson selected as DoDEA Pacific South Community Superintendent
Okinawa, Japan —
Mr. Jim Journey, DoDEA Pacific South Superintendent, is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Jacqueline Ferguson as the Community Superintendent of DoDEA Pacific South District - Okinawa, Japan.
Dr. Ferguson is currently principal of Kaiserslautern High School in Germany. She brings more than 20 years of experience to the position, including principalships at Wiesbaden Middle School in Germany, Nile C. Kinnick High School and Ikego Elementary School, both in Yokosuka, Japan; teaching in Texas, Germany, and Japan; as well as serving as an assistant professor at Texas A&M University - San Antonio’s College of Education.
Dr. Ferguson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master of Educational Administration, and a Doctorate in Curriculum, Supervision and Instruction.
“Dr. Ferguson has a heart for serving our military-connected students and families,” Mr. Journey said. “She possesses a wealth of professional knowledge and is committed to the mission and vision of our organization. We look forward to welcoming her to Pacific South.”
Dr. Ferguson replaces Mr. Michael Johnson, who is retiring from the position of Pacific South Community Superintendent after 36 years of government service.
