Dr. Justin Treisch Selected as Principal Mendel Elementary School

Yokota, Japan —
Dr. Judy Allen, DoDEA Pacific East District Superintendent, is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Justin Treisch as Principal for Mendel Elementary School.
Dr. Justin Treisch spent four years in the United States Marine Corps prior to becoming an educator. He began his teaching career in 2007. He taught in Georgia and prior to joining DoDEA in January 2011. During his DoDEA career he has taught in Germany at Ramstein Elementary School and in South Korea at Daegu American School and Casey Elementary School. Dr. Treisch served as a special education teacher and general education teacher throughout his career prior to being named Assistant Principal at Andersen Elementary School in 2016. He joins Mendel Elementary School from Guam High School, where he currently serves as Assistant Principal.
Dr. Treisch holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Macon State College, a master’s degree in Special Education with a focus on School Improvement from Georgia College and State University, and a doctorate in Special Education from Nova Southeastern University. He has also completed several graduate level courses specific to Instructional Leadership and School Administration from Grand Canyon University and the University of San Diego.
“I am grateful and honored to serve military-connected students, their families, and community stakeholders around the globe,” Dr. Treisch said. “I am passionate about serving others and will continue to do everything possible, within my leadership capacity, to assist in making school enjoyable, meaningful, and engaging for all students and stakeholders.”
Dr. Treisch enjoys running, exercising, being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his wife, their families, and friends.
