Dr. Maryanne Hartley selected as Assistant Principal for Wiesbaden Elementary School
Wiesbaden, Germany —
Dr. Louis D’Angelo, DoDEA Europe Central District superintendent, has announced the selection of Dr. Hartley as the new assistant principal of Wiesbaden Elementary School.
Dr. Hartley’s educational journey began with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in professional counseling. She continued her studies, earning a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and ultimately a doctorate in Educational Leadership.
From 2007 to 2020, Dr. Hartley served as a school counselor at Fort Cavazos, where she worked extensively with military-connected families. In August 2020, she joined DoDEA as the Elementary Counselor at Rota Elementary School in Rota, Spain. Her career in both public schools and DoDEA has provided her with a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities faced by students, which she is eager to use in her new position at Wiesbaden Elementary.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Hartley enjoys spending time with her husband and their children, who will attend schools in the Wiesbaden community.
