M.C. Perry and Iwakuni elementary schools become M.C. Perry Primary School, Iwakuni Intermediate School

M.C. Perry Elementary and Iwakuni Elementary will be known as M.C. Perry Primary School and Iwakuni Intermediate School when students return for the 2022-23 school year.

This name change will more accurately reflect the grade levels taught at each school, as M.C. Perry Primary School serves pre-kindergarten through second grade and Iwakuni Intermediate School serves grades 3-5.

M.C. Perry Primary School will remain the Samurai and Iwakuni Intermediate School will still be the White Snakes.

Members of the Iwakuni community will see the physical signage on each campus updated this summer.
