Mrs. Rivera is a passionate educator with 18 years of experience, dedicated to the growth and success of every student. She began her teaching career with Duval County Public Schools in Jacksonville, Florida, serving as a third grade Math and Science teacher. In 2009, she joined the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Europe South District as a Math Specialist at Rota Elementary School and later transitioned back into general education as a fifth grade teacher. Six years later, she relocated to Naples Elementary School to teach fourth grade and currently serves as the Math Specialist for grades K-5.

She has also presented for professional learning teams in multiple capacities and participated in various school committees. Among all her leadership roles, mentoring and supporting other educators brings her the most satisfaction and joy. Her unwavering commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for our military-connected students has been the cornerstone of her educational philosophy.
Mrs. Rivera earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Science from the University of Maryland University College and a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning with a minor in Special Education from Liberty University.
Mrs. Rivera will be joined in Guam by her husband, Angel. Their family is made complete by their two wonderful daughters: Gabriela, who supports military families as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and Natalia, who proudly serves in the US Air Force. Both daughters are proud DoDEA graduates, reflecting the family's deep commitment to education and service.
Mrs. Rivera is delighted to continue her service to the Pacific West District military-connected community in Agana, Guam. She eagerly looks forward to embracing new opportunities, making a meaningful impact, and contributing to the success and well-being of the students and families she will serve.
