Ms. Amber Dumond Instructional Systems Specialist Assessment, PK

Dr. Jacob Sherwood, Pacific West District Superintendent, is pleased to announce the selection of Amber Dumond as Instructional Systems Specialist for Prekindergarten (PK).

Ms. Amber Dumond has served as an educator in Texas and Arkansas for more than a decade before joining DoDEA in 2018 as an Educational Technologist in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Prior to transitioning to the PK ISS position, Ms. Dumond has served as the PK-5 Science ISS since January 2023.

Ms. Dumond completed her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a concentration on Early Childhood through 6th grade, at Stephen F. Austin State University. Her passion for education led her to pursue further qualifications. She obtained her Master of Education from Lamar State University, specializing in Education Technology and Leadership. Ms. Dumond’s commitment to professional growth continued at Arkansas State University, where she earned additional certifications for Gifted Education at all grade levels.

Ms. Dumond is accompanied by her two children, Genevieve, 11, and Theodore, 7, who are thriving in the Humphreys community.
