Department of Defense Education Activity Pacific East District Superintendent Dr. Jacqueline Ferguson is pleased to announce the selection of Ms. Stacey Hull-Walsh as principal of Ikego Elementary School.

Ms. Hull-Walsh most recently served as principal at Yokosuka Middle School. She embarked on her journey with DoDEA in 2009 at Lakenheath Middle School, stationed at RAF Feltwell in the UK. There, she taught Math and Science while also spearheading the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Program. Her dedication to the AVID program led to a role as a Staff Developer for the AVID Center, where she empowered educators nationwide through professional development initiatives. In 2014, Ms. Hull-Walsh embraced a new chapter at Kadena Middle School in Okinawa, Japan, initially as the assistant principal and subsequently as the principal. Her educational experience also includes seven years as a teacher in Florida.

Ms. Hull-Walsh earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, followed by a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her educational philosophy centers on fostering an environment that nurtures students intellectually, emotionally, and socially.  She advocates for a curriculum that challenges students rigorously yet remains pertinent to their lives.

Ms. Hull-Walsh, alongside her husband George, cherishes her role as a parent to Brianna and Braxton. Her passion for student development remains unwavering, and she eagerly anticipates the opportunity to continue serving and supporting the Yokosuka community as principal of Ikego Elementary School.
