This issuance was approved on October 29, 2024. This Issuance establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and implements procedures to comply with applicable laws and regulations governing Veterans’ preference throughout the Competitive and Excepted service recruitment and hiring process pursuant to Sections 2108, 3304, 3318, and 3319 of Title 5 United States Code and Parts 302 and 332 of Title 5, Code of Federal Regulations.

This new publication incorporates and cancels: DoDEA Administrative Instruction 1402.04, “Veterans’ Preference Compliance Program,” September 13, 2022.
