Publication of DoDEA AI 5205.02- Vol. 5 Force Protection Program: Risk Management, Change 2 🔐

This issuance was approved on January 20, 2025. This Issuance is composed of multiple volumes, each containing its own purpose. In accordance with Volume 1 of Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction O-2000.16, this Issuance establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for managing and executing the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) force protection program.  This volume creates the DoDEA force protection assessment using a hybrid approach for risk management and program compliance to achieve DoD antiterrorism (AT) requirements in Volume 1 of DoD Instruction O-2000.16, uses the undesirable event assessment and protection assessments in lieu of vulnerability and threat assessments, and in accordance with DoD Instruction 6055.17, ensures protection assessments use DoDEA-specific benchmarks to identify deficiencies at DoDEA operating locations, such as DoDEA school’s hereafter referred to as “schools” in this Issuance and DoDEA support buildings, hereafter referred to as “support buildings” in this Issuance.
