Dr. Jayme Linton

Biography

As Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Linton supports Director Schiavino-Narvaez in setting the strategic vision and supporting the instructional framework and educational approach for DoDEA's academic program.

Dr. Linton has served as Chief of Strategic & Organizational Excellence for DoDEA since August 2023. Prior to which she was DoDEA Education Projects Specialist beginning September 2021, and DoDEA Professional Practice and Improvement Specialist beginning September 2018.

Prior to joining DoDEA, Dr. Linton worked at Lenoir-Rhyne University beginning in 2012, where her positions included Program Coordinator, Master of Science in Online Teaching and Instructional Design; Instructor and Elementary Program Coordinator; and Director of Teacher Education. Between 2007 and 2012, Dr. Linton served as the Instructional Technology Facilitator, Staff Development Coordinator; and Instructional Coach for Newton-Conover City Schools. Dr. Linton began her career with six years as an elementary teacher in North Carolina.

Dr. Linton earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Western Carolina University in 2001, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Appalachian State University in 2005, and a Ph.D. in Teacher Education and Development from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2014. She currently holds a K-6 teaching license and K-12 Curriculum Specialist license from North Carolina.
