Standards
DoDEA joined the WIDA Consortium in 2019 and adopted the WIDA English Language Development (ELD) Framework. The WIDA English Language Development (ELD) Standards highlight the English language development goals for multilingual learners as they expand their linguistic repertoire in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. These standards are designed to guide all teachers in their instruction of multilingual learners and to provide a bridge to DoDEA's academic standards in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science.
