As the lead facility operations specialist for the Europe South District, Jason Davies is directly responsible for the three Vicenza Schools, the District Office, and the Annex. He has also been covering four additional schools in Naples and Sigonella.
The schools in Naples and Sigonella are undergoing sizable repair projects worth more than $5M: Sigonella roof replacement, fire alarm and mass notification upgrade, and Naples air conditioning rework. At the Naples complex, a study is being coordinated to assess the facility condition regarding the lease maintenance issues experienced at the site. Davies is facilitating the assessment and coordinating with Public Works and Navy facilities personnel.
Davies is also coordinating final building renovations in buildings 20/21 and a move of the District Annex staff into a swing space to prepare for an upcoming renovation project. This required extensive meetings with both DoDEA district leadership and USAG Vicenza Department of Public Works and Transformation to coordinate the details, assign space for each individual, as well as work with logistics for drayage and office setup, keys, etc.
In addition to these duties, Davies has addressed daily issues at the schools and offices as they arise. He remains proactive in anticipating potential issues and assertively addresses them as they pop up.
Davies is well deserving of recognition for his superior performance this quarter, covering additional responsibilities, overseeing two major repair projects, coordinating a study and office relocations, and managing daily tasks efficiently.
