Standards

Introduction

The DoDEA College and Career Ready Standards for Mathematics (CCRSM) are designed to be relevant to the real world, allow students to master more critical-thinking and unique problem-solving skills, and to reflect the knowledge, skills and social foundations that our students need for success in both college and work. In Mathematics the standards consist of both Standards for Mathematical Practice (SMPs) and Grade Level Content Standards. Our content is designed around specific learning progressions that help to define ways to connect different mathematical domains. Students in grades 6-8 apply and extend their understandings from PK-5 and develop strategies to analyze solution pathways, justify their thinking around mathematical concepts, and develop models to investigate problems.
