Nomination Period
February 19 to March 28, 2025	Nominations sought in local school communities
Regional Level Process
Before March 28, 2025	Nomination forms/count emailed to regional point of contacts (POCs)
By April 4, 2025	Regional POCs send list of candidates (including email address and principal’s contact information) to HQ POC.
By April 7, 2025	Regional POCs send demographic form to HQ POC.
April 7-14, 2025	The regional selection panel members: Review the nomination forms Obtain signature/permission of nominated teachers (Section 1 Form) Obtain signatures of POC/District Superintendent/principal (Section 2 Form) Gather letter of recommendation from principals Obtain official picture (headshot), resume, and bio of nominated teacher Upload documents into 2025 EOP TEAMS
On or before April 14, 2025 (whenever the regional process has been completed)	Regional POCs: Notify DoDEA HQ of selected candidates (two candidates from the Americas, three from the Pacific, and three from Europe) Will not notify candidates at their selection Upload nomination packages into 2025 EOP TEAMS
Headquarters Level Process
March 28 to April 7, 2025	EOP community organized in TEAMS
On or before April 14, 2025	Regions submit names and packages to DoDEA HQ. Nomination packages are uploaded in 2025 EOP TEAMS.
April 15 to 25, 2025	HQ selection panel review period. Panel members will review endorsements and nomination forms independently using scoring rubrics. Scores are emailed to Dr. Rivera-Rivera.
April 28 to May 1, 2025	The top two candidates will be scheduled for a virtual interview.
May 5-7, 2025	The HQ interview panel will conduct virtual interviews with the top two candidates. The estimated interview time would be 7:30-8:30 AM EST/ 4:00-5:00 PM EST to accommodate the different time zones.
May 7-9, 2025	Provide written recommendation for 2025 Dr. Linda L. Curtis Educator of Promise to Chief Academic Officer (CAO) for the Director’s approval. Debrief the EOP selection with the Director as requested. Compile bio of the selected Dr. Linda L. Curtis EOP Award recipient and share with HQ Communications office to coordinate communication to the field.
On or before May 10, 2025	District Superintendent, principal, and regional POCs are notified of the Dr. Linda L. Curtis EOP Award recipient selection.
On or before May 23, 2025	Announcement of 2025 Dr. Linda L. Curtis EOP Award recipient made via DoDEA website.
SY 2025-2026	Recognition and professional development opportunities. 2025 Dr. Linda L. Curtis EOP Award recognition period is June 2, 2025 to June 1, 2026.
