The Non-DoD Schools Program (NDSP) provides academic support and funding for the education of authorized command sponsored dependents of the U.S. Depart­ment of Defense military members and civilian employees assigned to overseas areas where no U.S. Department of Defense Education Activity School (DoDEA) is available.

Eligibility and Program Support

  • Ensures adherence to policy and laws.
  • Determines eligibility for the program.
  • Supports the stakeholders' understanding of the policies that govern the Non-DoD Schools Program.
  • Education screenings as a part of the overseas travel screening/suitability process.

Liaison Portal Support

  • Used by NDSP School Liaisons to ensure sponsors have registered their child(ren) for the present school year.
  • Used by NDSP School Liaisons to ensure sponsors have current contact information in the system.

  • Certified educators in a variety of PK-12th grade areas.
  • Possible topics that they can address are: English as second language, 504 accommodations, special education, gifted education, high school transitions, post secondary support, U.S. related coursework, homeschool support, and academic support.
