Personnel Security

The Personnel Security Branch (PERSEC) is responsible assessing the conduct, integrity, judgement, reliability and stability of individuals occupying federal positions or performing work on behalf of the federal government. PERSEC reviews relevant and credible information to make initial and final fitness/suitability determinations, including additional background history checks for individuals who have regular contact with children under 18 years of age in DoD-sanctioned programs.
