PSAT 8/9 Program

The PSAT 8/9 helps students to be on target for college readiness in middle and high school so they can focus on skill development in high school. The PSAT 8/9 is the first assessment in the College Board's SAT Suite of Assessments that assesses the same skills and knowledge at grade-appropriate levels to determine what students need to work on in order to prepare for college and careers. The test works together with the PSAT/NMSQT to give consistent feedback for measuring student progress over time.

DoDEA is administering the 'Digital' PSAT 8/9 to all DoDEA students. All students taking the Digital PSAT 8/9 at a DoDEA U.S. school must test digitally, except for students who require paper testing as an accommodation.

Student Participation

DoDEA students in eighth and ninth grade participate in the Digital PSAT 8/ which is the entry point into College Board assessments, has grade-appropriate content for eighth and ninth grader students and establishes a baseline measurement of students' college and career readiness as they enter high school.
