The SAT is a globally recognized college admissions test that allows students to show colleges what they know and how well they can apply that knowledge. It tests students' knowledge of reading, writing and math - subjects that are taught every day in high school classrooms. Most students take the SAT (R) during their junior or senior year of high school, and almost all colleges and universities use the SAT to make admissions decisions.

SAT School Day Student Participation

DoDEA students in eleventh grade will participate in the spring SAT School Day with Essay; twelfth grade students have the option of participating in the fall SAT School Day if they do not have a grade 11 SAT score either because they missed the grade 11 spring assessment or they are new to DoDEA. The SAT is a College Board assessment with grade-appropriate content for high school students and establishes a baseline measurement of students' college and career readiness as they prepare for college. The SAT is administered in DODEA high schools on specific days during the school day.
